InterContinental Miami and Bayfront Park
The InterContinental Miami has the only lobby in the world built around a work of art. Their 18-foot, 70-ton Spindle sculpture made of travertine marble by sculptor Henry Moore is the breathtaking focal point of a grand lobby constructed in Italian marble slabs and precious African wood. For 4 nights, Form and Substance will transform this historic art work into a digital canvas showing works designed by the world’s leading projection mapping artists creating an unparalleled experience for the viewer. This ground breaking installation will be the centerpiece of an exhibition of projection, light and video art the will fill the grand lobby.
The InterContinental Miami rises 34 stories next to Biscayne Bay and the Port of Miami. It’s position next to the waterfront and Bayfront park make it’s facade the perfect surface to turn into a projection mapped display. For 4 nights, Form and Substance will transform the hotel’s north facade into a 360’ tall artwork that can be seen from all over downtown Miami including the main bridges connecting Miami Beach to the mainland.
